FINALLY….  An N95 Mask that is comfortable!

Are you sick of feeling hot & stuffy under your N95 mask? Tired of suffering from acne flare ups from wearing masks? And looking for ways to breathe more easily while wearing an N95? At Easmed, we’ve discovered a new brand of N95 that is not only safe, but also breathable and NIOSH accredited.

In the last few months, we have shown NASK N95 to several healthcare professionals and this is what they have to say about it:

NASK N95’s Features

NASK is a relatively new brand. Nask N95 mask is researched, designed & manufactured in Hong Kong. Its patented nanotechnology is what sets it apart from the current N95 brands.

Nanotechnology allows for NASK to be:

  • Very Thin and Light while maintaining Ultra High Filtration capabilities
  • Soft and opposes the face without painful bruises and deep facial marks
  • Bacterialcidal as the nanofibers cause cell surface lysis to kill the bacteria cell
  • Highly breathable

The above lead to much higher comfort for users despite long hours of wear!

NASK compared with 3M N95

Published in the Journal of Hospital Infection, NASK N95 has been compared with 3M’s respirators, including 3M’s 1860 series.

104 subjects participated in the study and found that NASK N95 has consistent and significant higher usability than the 3M’s respirators in eight parameters.

Nask is superior than 3M respirators in the following:

  • Facial heat
  • Breathability
  • Facial pressure
  • Speech intelligibility
  • Itchiness
  • Difficulty of maintaining the mask in place
  • Comfort on ear lobe
  • Overall comfort level

There are 3 Sizes and you can refer to sizing chart in above article.

Tips on Sizing:

  • If your measurement is close to the lower range of the Middle and lower range of Large, we recommend for you to downsize for a tighter fit.
    • Eg. If your eye to chin measurement is 95 or 96mm, you can choose Small Size instead of Medium.
  • If you have a long slim face we recommend to downsize to get a tighter fit.

For customers who are in healthcare sector, exposed to high infection risk areas, we highly recommend for a mask fit test so that you get the correct fit for best protection.

However, it is not a pre-requisite for purchase. You may buy without a mask fit test conducted too.

How is a mask fit test conducted?

N95 respirators such as NASK N95 must seal to the wearer’s face to provide the expected protection. A mask fit test involves a series of exercises and subjected to exposure of sweet and bitter solutions to check for leakages and gaps on wearing the mask. The session will take about 20-30min and it will be conducted Easmed Academy premise.

What tests/ certification have NASK masks gone through?

NASK masks have been tested by many testing authorities, including world recognised NELSON LABS.

NASK’s breakthrough technology has successfully passed performance and safety tests:

  • Viral Filtration Efficiency (VFE)
  • Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE)
  • Evaluation of Antimicrobial Finishes
  • Filtration Efficiency (MPPS)N99 grade
  • Filtration Efficiency (MPPS) P95 grade
  • Particle Filtration Efficiency (PFE)
  • Breathability (Inhalation/Exhalation Resistance)
  • Blood Penetration Resistance
  • Flammability
  • Acute Inhalation Toxicity
